I didn’t know about that! Man, I’m learning something new every day!
Thanks for the info, btw and pardon about this ^^;;;
Seems like a lot of people didn’t know there were new episodes on Friday. Disney really needs to give it way more promotion, especially if they’re gonna keep airing it on different days like that.
From what i’ve learned about how ratings work, it seems that unless you’re a nielsen viewer, your views won’t count. Pretty sure a good majority of us on here are not which is why I think things like purchasing episodes on iTunes is a good way to help support the show.
It’d also be good to know how other shows that aired along with wander did ratings wise (like whatever aired before and after). Cause that’ll kinda tell you if it’s specifically the show that didn’t perform well or just the date/timeslot.
So thanks to SonOfTheBronx, he sent me the ratings for Wander Over Yonder’s “The Date” & “The Buddies” and…
It’s not exactly pretty :(
The ratings for Friday at 8:30 PM on Disney XD was:
If anyone follows ratings, then they’d know that those ratings are pretty bad :(
Heck, Littlest Pet Shop gets about 200-300,000 viewers per episode. MLP gets about 500,000. Wander used to get 2.42 million views on the Disney Channel on average.
I was hoping at least 700-800,000 for the newest WOY eps… I mean, there was a re-run on the 29th of July and that got 491,000.
I’m really curious to what went wrong (with the newest ratings). Maybe Friday nights aren’t as good as Mon-Wed nights? More promotion? Maybe even spacing out the episodes across the year(s) is detrimental?
Response to People’s Answers:
We need to talk about this, guys. ‘Cause 140k is *insanely* low, even for DXD standards (i’ve noticed new episodes of shows tend to range between 700-900k but please correct me if i’m wrong). It probably has a lot to do with the lack of advertisement and weird timeslots for reruns. Moreso advertisement, I hardly see any of that for Wander. Friday nights are more Disney Channel’s night for new episodes and apparently the same time this new Wander was on was during a new Girl Meets World, which I believe is Disney Channel’s most popular series. Thought it was a bit strange that they would schedule it like that. Buuuut yeah, this isn’t good. This show needs WAY higher ratings than that if it wants to survive.
My parents got me a pumpkin today, so I did the most logical thing you can do to a pumpkin; turn it into Wander’s head.
Hmmm, I don’t seem to recall a post like that. :( Sorry!
